Holo stamping

Time for my second post!

A while ago I finally got my hands on some stamping plates after eyeing all the fabulous stamped manicures other bloggers publish. It was just as much fun as I had expected! I used two China Glaze polishes for this one, Grape Pop and GR8. The stamping plate is a fauxnad I purchased from BornPrettyStore in a set of 16.

I recently picked up GR8, one of the holographic polishes from the OMG! collection that seems really popular round bloggers. I'm new to holographic polishes but I feel a little disappointed, the holo effect is not very strong compared to what I've seen elsewhere. Or maybe I just wore it at a bad day, not the sunniest season :) 

As can be seen, Grape Pop is perhaps not the best stamping polish in that it seems to have changed colour quite a bit, from a deep purple with blue undertones to something more pure purple, and also less intense.

Det var precis lika roligt som jag hade hoppats! Jag använde två China Glaze lack för denna manikyr, Grape Pop and GR8. Som kan ses på bilderna är Grape Pop kanske inte det bästa lacket att stämpla med, det ändrar färg en hel del, från ganska djup lila med mycket blå toner till något mesigare lila.GR8 är ett lack jag nyligen kommit över, från den omskrivna OMG! kollektionen China Glaze gav ut 2008. Jag är holo-nybörjare men är lite besviken på denna, effekten känns svag och inte i linje med de bilder jag sett innan. Kan också vara att jag bar det en dålig dag, inte den soligaste säsongen just nu!
