Pink Gellac Safari Collection - swatches

Another Pink Gellac review from me today. I have been sitting on these pictures for some months, and as I personally like to look at swatches before buying polish, I figured I better get these published. Hopefully they can help someone decide if they need to add any of these to their collection, if they already have some similar shades.

I received this collection earlier this year (but the opinions on my blog are just mine), and was surprised by the unexpected colours. A collection with two yellow tones and no pinks? Quite a bold move, but so much fun!

Let's jump right in. First is number 314, Lion Yellow, the lighter yellow of the collection. It is a mustard tone, and my second picture shows it more correctly than the first I would say. It is darker and more muted than Pink Gellac 289 Breeze Yellow from the Festival Summer collection. I'm wearing three coats.

Next up is 315 Camel Gold, the darker yellow that is a lot more brown really. I'm wearing two coats. This is not a shade I would wear on all nails like this, the colour is a bit too weird honestly, but it could be useful for nail art in combination with other shades.

Next up we have two coats of Jungle Green, 316. This is similar in saturation to Graceful Green (309) from the winter collection I posted just the other day, but this leans much warmer. I think Graceful Green is more elegant, but this one might be easier to wear and more flattering on my skin tone. 

Forth from the collection is the aptly named Star Sky Black, number 317. This really looks like a starry night sky, with a dark pewter base and plenty of silver shimmer particles. I'm wearing two coats. This is my favourite from the collection.

Finally we have a nude/beige tone that might be a bit too similar to my skin tone to look good on me. Like the rest of the collection, it's a warm beige shade with some yellow tones. I'm wearing three coats.

Blir ett till inlägg med swatcher från en Pink Gellac kollektion. Har suttit på dessa bilder ett par månader och då jag själv gärna tittar på bilder på just bloggar innan jag handlar lack så tänker jag att någon kanske blir klokare av detta inlägg. Vid det här laget har jag ju publicerat en del swatch-inlägg så kan ju till och med beskriva hur de förhåller sig till andra lack från Pink Gellac.

Dessa lack är skickade till mig från PG som press-prover eller vad det nu kallas, men självklart beskriver jag mina egna åsikter om lacken. Jag måste säga att jag blev överraskad när denna kollektion damp ner i brevlådan, Det finns två gula lack, och inte ett enda rosa! Roligt val och rätt modigt då det känns som de flesta företag fokuserar på de där lättsålda färgerna.

Pink Gellac Devotion Collection - swatches

Back from a slightly longer than expected blogging break. Nothing in particular brought it on, just a desire to do other things in my weekends and evenings ^-^. Time to get back online, I have been sitting on swatches of the gorgeous winter collection Devotion from Pink Gellac since late last year. Yup, about time to get this published!

I received this collection for review from Pink Gellac but naturally all opinions are my own. In brief I really liked the collection, it has a lot of fun finishes, and felt quite luxurious.

First up is 309 Graceful green, the only creme of the collection. It covered in two coats and is a nice deep Christmas green.

Next up is 310 Tempting Teal, a very interesting nearly duo-chrome shade that covered in three coats. As you can see from the pictures it's very luminous, and reflects a lot of light. Just as suitable for a beach holiday as any Christmas party ^-^.

Thirdly we have 311 Crushed Gold, that I managed to get full coverage of in two coats. It reminds me a lot of my favourite regular gold polish, OPI Goldeneye. It's quite a yellow antique-y gold which I really like, but I know it's not everyone's favourite.

Then we have a sparkly beauty, 312 Fabulous Fuchsia, which is more like a micro glitter compared to the shimmers above. I needed three coats for full opacity. This reminds me a lot of Orly Bubbly Bombshell, another old favourite.

Last but not least is 313, Epic Purple, in two coats. This is quite a dark sultry purple, with a more discreet shimmer. A very wearable nice shade!

Blev en lite längre blogg-paus än jag initialt tänkt. Det beror inte på något särskilt, jag har bara inte varit så sugen på kvällspass framför datorn efter långa dagar på hemmakontoret. Men nu är det allt dags att blogga lite igen, och de lack jag tänkte visa idag har jag visst suttit på sen före jul. På tiden att få ut dem med andra ord. Detta är jättefina julkollektionen Devotion från Pink Gellac.

Jag får ju Pink Gellacs lack hemskickade för att swatcha, men det påverkar inte mina åsikter om dem. Jag gillade verkligen denna kollektion, då den har fler roliga finishar än vad de brukar ha, och faktiskt inte ett enda rosa lack!
