Hearts Nail Art Design

Happy Valentine's Day! I hope you are having a good Tuesday and take the chance to tell people you care for (be it in a romantic way or not) how much they mean to you.

This is the nail art I'm currently wearing. I created the design using a Valentine's Day kit that Pink Gellac sent to me (free press sample) that includes a jelly nude, a hot pink and an equally hot red. Both the red and the pink covered in two coats, so if you're looking for some stapler shades this might be a good kit for you. The nude gives very little colour, but works great as a base for negative space designs, or if you just want the protection that gels give you, without adding colour.

Polishes used: Pink Gellac 108 Lady in Red, Pink Gellac 121 French Pink, Pink Gellac 270 Florida Pink, Pink Gellac 331 Copper Gold and Pink Gellac 317 Star Sky Black

Dagens nail art är den jag också har på mig idag. Jag fick hem ett Valentine's kit från Pink Gellac (gratis pressprov) som innehöll tre lack, ett hudfärgat nude-lack, ett starkt rosa lack och så ett klarrött. Både det röda och det rosa täcker på två lager så om du är på jakt efter såna här grundfärger så kanske detta kit kan vara för dig. Nude-lacket ger väldigt lite färg men funkar bra som bas för negative-space nagelkonst eller om du vill använda gel för att skydda naglarna lite, utan att behöva ha färgat lack.

Valentine's Day Nail Design

Valentine's Day is just around the corner so today is perfect for posting this heart nail art design. Valentine's Day is one of my favourite occasions for nail art so I usually end up with a few different designs. Let's see what I get around to posting this year!

The hearts are painted with a thin brushes on a nudish base. The silver glitter is a loose glitter that I have added to the sticky layer of the gel polish.

Polishes used: Pink Gellac Rubber Base Cover Blushed Pink, Pink Gellac 331 Copper Gold, Pink Gellac 317 Star Sky Black, Pink Gellac 107 Cheerful red

Alla hjärtans dag närmar sig och det är verkligen min favorit när det kommer till nagelinspiration. Tycker alltid det är lätt att få till olika designer med hjärtan och liknande, mer eller mindre sockersött. Får väl se vad jag hinner publicera i år!

Denna design har halvstora hjärtan som jag målat med en tunn pensel på en halvgenomskinlig bas. Silverglittret är ett löst glitter som jag har gnuggat in i gellackets kletiga yta.

Pink Gellac Imperial Collection - Swatches

Today I have the Imperial Collection to show, it just launched with Pink Gellac, so for once I'm quite on trend! I was sent this collection as a press sample, but as always the opinions I express are my own.

First up is 354 Merlot Red which is a pearly red shade. My camera captured it as more pink than it is, and it does have some warm tones, but pink is not the main colour you see. A nice shade no matter what colour you call it! I'm wearing two coats.

Next up is 355 Royal Red, a classic deep red colour. I'm wearing two coats.

If you prefer purple to red, you might like 356 Deep Purple instead. It's a rather warm darker purple tone. I'm wearing two coats. 

My favourite from the collection is 357 Violet Plum, which is the most colourful polish of the collection. It is a similar hue of purple as Deep Purple above, but with different saturation and brightness. Im wearing two coats, and decided to combine it with some nail art. This colour is very similar to 250 Orchid Purple and is perhaps just a tad lighter. You don't need both of them I would say.

My pinkie and ring fingers are wearing a base of Pleasant Pearl (346), with accents of Dove Grey (358) and Lovely Pink (179).

Finally we have 358 Dove Grey, a dark grey without any clear cold or warm undertones. Two coats for full opacity.

Och så var jag äntligen i kapp med mina nagellackskollektioner från Pink Gellac. Jag har kämpat hela veckan för att få ut dem, känns så bra att äntligen vara klar! Det här är Imperial Collection, som precis kom ut och innehåller fem lagom höstiga nyanser.

Pink Gellac Summer Revival Collection - swatches

Today's post is all about the Summer Revival collection from Pink Gellac. This is a very fun collection with some neons and a glitter polish. I received these as a press sample, all opinions expressed are my own.

First up is a yellow neon because nothing says summer like neon polish! This is 349 Lightning Yellow, a bright highlighter yellow, it covers in three coats.

350 Groovy Green is also a neon shade, but with a bit more white thrown in the mix, making it fully opaque in two coats. The closest shade I have is 293 Dancing Green, which is much more yellow, Groovy Green is more a true green.

Thirdly we have a milky glitter polish, 351 Confetti Cream. I don't have anything like this in gel polish, so it's a fun addition to my collection, and I liked this a bit more than I thought I would. The glitters are all small and relatively harmonious, so it doesn't feel too busy which some glitters tend to do. I'm wearing two coats, and as you can see it's not fully opauqe.

352 Neon Peach is in my view not at all a neon shade. I would describe it as a pastel apricot colour, and nothing wrong with that but it's not a neon. If you're looking for neon, rather go with 244 Hawaii Orange or 272 Coral Pink (they are a lot brighter). I needed three coats for full opacity.

Finally we have 353 Chili Red, which is a red that's just a tad muted, and leaning quite warm. I got away with just one coat for this one!
